Today we ventured out to Wave Rock. It's about a 3.5 hour trip, so it was an all day ordeal. It was a beautiful drive, even though Lelle and her mum didn't think so. They're used to it I guess. But I enjoyed it. I saw my first Roo...road kill on the side of the road. How sad! Haven't seen an alive one in the wild yet. However, I've seen some very pretty birds - Gala and 28's. Yes, they have a bird named after a number. Apparently it sounds like it's saying "twenty-eight." On the drive I was able to see grass trees, which are unique to Australia. And we stopped at a Dog Cemetery. We passed through a town that at one point had the record for the most dogs in the back of a Ute (pickup truck). Then we finally arrived at the rock, which was quite an incredible site. I used to make fun of my mom by being fascinated with rocks. Now look at me! But it was really awesome. Then we hiked up on top of the rock to see the view a bit. After that we drove over to a rock called Hippos Yawn. Lelle and I climbed all over the rocks. It was a lot of fun. After that we drove to a gift shop and had a look around. Then we headed back to Eni and Johno (Jenelle, Lelle's mum's, parents house) for dinner. We had a lovely dinner, but I was just exhausted so I crashed on the floor. Shortly after they got me home I went to bed. Now I'm up bright and early again and I get to wait for Lelle to wake up! Anyways, here are a few pictures from our adventure to Wave Rock.
